Coach Ron was not organized. I signed up for an ice cream social. Bought the ice cream and drove down there and the ice cream social was cancelled. He claimed to have told me but I never got an email or text. Then he claimed to have never gotten a confirmation from me for the ice cream then sent me a text with my confirmation. Incredibly unorganized and inconsiderate of my time--I do not recommend this charity at all.

I responded to one the ads placed by this organization to help with a library event. I purchased books and items for the children. I drove to compton to the meet up place which was a library. I carried the stuff into the library. I waited and waited. I called Ron over and over. He didnt pick up the phone. Total waste of money and time. I dont like ti slam charities but I want to warn people.

Cooked for homeless veterans- this opportunity was very simple and unassuming. I came with three trays of a cheese Spanish rice, and within the hour of me there, it was gone. The people were very thankful and I look forward to going back again.

It is an amazing experience to be of service to those who served and fought for our freedom. It is a great honor to give back.

The description of the work I volunteered for was supposed to be feeding homeless vets, as well as a sock drive, and a $10 donation for haircuts... So a friend and I show up with clothes and food. There were no Vets in sight, just homeless people. "Coach Ron" asked for the $10 donation and got all mad and upset when I told him I didn't have it... I told him I brought food and clothes, why was he getting mad about the money. So we ended up leaving, left the clothes and food of course but it was such a disappointment. Really seemed like he wanted to pocket the money... NOT RECOMMENDED!! You are better off just giving away clothes and food on your own, don't give this man any money!!!

Don't know what to expect in this volunteer opportunity. I want to know how this organization helps and definitely want to learn more on how I can give back to the city I live in.

Wow, what an experience! Just recently found out that Skidrow is supposedly the most "dangerous" place in Los Angeles -- hard to believe! The people at Gladys Park is lovely and appreciative! If you hang out long enough, you get to meet some amazing people! Also Coach Ron is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about the work he does for the community! An amazing person no doubt. I recommend people to join in and help out! It is a phenomenal experience.
