It is an amazing experience to be of service to those who served and fought for our freedom. It is a great honor to give back.

The description of the work I volunteered for was supposed to be feeding homeless vets, as well as a sock drive, and a $10 donation for haircuts... So a friend and I show up with clothes and food. There were no Vets in sight, just homeless people. "Coach Ron" asked for the $10 donation and got all mad and upset when I told him I didn't have it... I told him I brought food and clothes, why was he getting mad about the money. So we ended up leaving, left the clothes and food of course but it was such a disappointment. Really seemed like he wanted to pocket the money... NOT RECOMMENDED!! You are better off just giving away clothes and food on your own, don't give this man any money!!!

Great meeting other volunteers who have such positive energy, and this was a wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving. Coach Ron ran into transit issues on the way to Long Beach, but you got to give respect to a man who has been feeding people at five different locations in one day! He is so positive and upbeat even after his super long day. Will definitely be volunteering for their upcoming events. Thanks Coach Ron for being such an inspiration and to the wonderful people I met in the park today.

Wow, what an experience! Just recently found out that Skidrow is supposedly the most "dangerous" place in Los Angeles -- hard to believe! The people at Gladys Park is lovely and appreciative! If you hang out long enough, you get to meet some amazing people! Also Coach Ron is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about the work he does for the community! An amazing person no doubt. I recommend people to join in and help out! It is a phenomenal experience.
