To prevent and treat child abuse in North Carolina
Parent Aid Program: Volunteers and social workers work with families at-risk or involved in child abuse and/or neglect on issues such as positive parenting and discipline, family meetings, budgeting and communication Welcome Baby Program: Volunteers and staff meet with new mothers in the hospital and provide support and information on infant topics such as breast feeding, why baby won't stop crying etc. Home visits are offered and additional support such as baby clothing and supplies STA SAFE (Systemic Treatment After Sexual Abuse for Families) provides therapy for victims, parents and siblings after sexual abuse has occurred. Other Services: Respite Care: Provides stressed parents with a break from children in time of crisis Supervised Visitation Various Support Groups
