Mission Statement

H.O.P.E.'s mission is to provide a safe and caring environment in which children and youth can learn and grow. We give free tutoring for students in 3rd-8th grade. We help them with reading, math and homework.

Description

H.O.P.E. is a community-wide, faith-based non-profit organization that partners currently with seven churches which provide their facilities in which our volunteers tutor elementary and junior high students during the school year on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 3:30 - 4:30 and 6:30 - 7:30 PM. During the summer, H.O.P.E. operates a reading maintenance program with the Arlington Public Library called Reading Rocks. This is also a free program for students who will enter the 4th through 8th grades the next year.
