We the peolple of the PCCA as professional artists and arts educators dedicated to the growth and nurture of our students artist through education and pre-professional training in the arts, affirm the power of the arts to ennoble th elives and endeavors of humanity.Arts eduation provides intellectual tools to make decisions, assess value, and develop higher level thinking skills; they teach how to analyze, synthesize, and render judgement; and they reach our students in ways that other area of the curriculum do not. We there fore believe that it is incumbant upon the PCCA college preparatory program to avow the arts, taught in a substantive and sequential manner; as an integral part of the curriculum and aspire to the highest quality arts instruction possible throughout Florida
