Mission Statement

The mission of Helen’s Hope is to provide financial assistance to women in need who are battling cancer and their families whose lives have been impacted by this disease. It is "Helen’s Hope" that this much needed support will relieve some of the financial stress that is experienced by those affected by cancer so that both the individual and family can focus on improved health and hope for the future.

Description

The Ebner Family established Helen’s Hope in August 2007 in loving memory of
Helen Ebner . Sadly, Helen was called home at the young age of thirty eight after a seven year battle with breast cancer on March 19, 2007. The Ebner family established Helen’s Hope to honor Helen’s courage, strength and hope for the future in spite of the many challenges she faced fighting this disease.

The Ebner family witnessed the emotional, physical and financial stress Helen experienced as a result of her battle with cancer. Helen was very blessed to have very supportive family and friends who came to her aid by providing much needed financial assistance with daily living expenses. This support undeniably relieved Helen of so much worry. It enabled her to focus more on improving her health and well being. The Ebner family established Helen’s Hope to provide the same relief to others who are challenged with the stress of fighting cancer. Whether it be paying ones electric bill, providing groceries for the week or help with co payments for doctor visits, we hope to extend this same kindness that Helen was so fortunate to receive by others.

Helen’s Hope is a non-profit organization that depends on public contributions and fund raising for our financial support. Helen’s Hope is supported completely by volunteers. All directors and officers work entirely without compensation.
Helen’s Hope partners with agencies such as local hospitals, hospice programs and religious communities to provide the financial relief to those in need.
