Description

The Lewis and Clark Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross Biomedical Services, is dedicated to providing safe blood and blood products to those in need. We will fulfill the needs of the American people for the safest, most reliable, most cost-effective blood, plasma, and tissue services through voluntary donations.

I have been volunteering as a courier for the American Red Cross since Winter of 2004 and have loved every minute of it. The people you work with our great and they are very considerate. The time commitment is easy, you can volunteer as much as 3 hours a week to every day. The job you do is fulfilling... after having surgery complications and requiring life saving blood, I really began to understand the importance in what I was doing at the Red Cross. If you think about it, while the donors are so vital to the Red Cross... the much needed blood they provide doesn't go from the donors arm to the recipients arm without the volunteer couriers... Anybody can do this and everybody should!
