Mission Statement

First Steps seeks to empower new parents to raise healthy children through support, education and referrals to community resources at no charge to the parents.

Description

First Steps is a primary child abuse prevention program of Prevent Child Abuse Georgia and Douglas Public Health. Volunteers are trained to provide all new parents with support, education, and community referrals through a hospital visit and bi-weekly phone contact for a period of 3-6 months.
