Mission Statement

The Developmental Disabilities Resource Board is committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals, particularly youth, who are challenged both economically and with developmental disabilities. Our agency serves as the finance and development institution for seven agencies who serve this challenged population. The DDRB will provide the needed funds for capital projects in Franklin County that will serve economically challenged youth as well as people wih developmental disabilities. Our mission is to provide funding that bridges the gap in government and private funding resources.

Description

The DDRB has a variety of services that assist the challenged population of Franklin County, MO These services range from newborn early intervention to senior citizens assistance. The youth services are a big part of our emphasis however. The most recent additional project opportunities centers on an All Abilities Playground in Washington, MO. This playground will offer a multitude of play and interaction opportiunities for children without limit as to their physical or mental challenge. This new playground is under construction in the Washington Park system and is a great chance for the community to give a resource to those young people who have been limited in their abilities and not afforded a chance to have enjoyment like all others.
