Mission Statement
The Dogga, Adult Education Center is a not-for-profit organization founded in February 2002 by Mr. Rinchen Tsering. The purpose of this Organization is to provide FREE adult Education to refugees in north India and local Indians. These refugees came from Tibet and did not complete their education in Tibet. Because of this, all have problems to get employment and making livings in the Tibetan-Indian community of Dharamsala-the main community of the Tibetan Refugees in India. We always have positions for all kinds of teaching opportunities. At this moment we give daily English classes at all levels (ABC beginners, elementary, intermediate, advanced, reading, comprehension and computers (both theoretical and practical). We expect volunteers for who can teach at least three months.
Description
We are located on a hilly area, next to the Himalayas. The weather is generally nice. Winter is a little cold, around December to March and the Indian monsoon hits this region late June and lasts for a little more than three months. During rainy season, it rains almost every day.
