Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.
INBC saves lives by providing blood and services to support transfusion and transplantation medicine in the Inland Northwest.
INBC was established as an independent community blood center to support the medical community of the Inland Northwest. INBC services an area that encompasses twelve counties in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, with a population of approximately eight hundred thousand. INBC also provides tissue typing for organ transplantation in our HLA laboratory. INBC is the sole blood provider to more than 35 hospitals, clinics and transfusion services through which tens of thousands of INBC blood products and services are distributed annually to patients in need. INBC has a centralized compatibility testing laboratory and operates the Regional Headquarters, two collection center sites, five mobile coaches, three mobile units, and four regularly scheduled mobile operations at four local hospitals.
