Mission Statement

"Friends of South Gate Park" is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting the youth and families in South Gate by providing financial assistance to deserving youth, by providing financial support for the programs and events at our parks and by funding necessary upgrades and improvements to our parks and recreation facilities.

Description

"Friends of South Gate Park" has served our parks and our community since 1995 and has provided scholarships to numerous youth allowing them to participate in programs that they could not afford. Friends regularly supports over 15 special events at our parks, keeping these community activities alive in the face of
shrinking city budgets. Friends has received private donations for park improvements and enhancements,
making our parks an even better place to come, play and enjoy.
