Older Teachers Teaching Early Readers, a Program of Volunteers for Community Impact

Description

The OTTER Program was created in 2004 and has been expanded and refined over the years. By reading aloud and engaging young children in literacy activities, OTTER volunteers help children develop vocabulary, increase reading comprehension, and develop a lifelong love for reading.
