Mission Statement
The mission of the Berkshire CASA Program is to train and support culturally competent volunteers who advocate for the best interests of children who are involved in the juvenile courts, particularly in cases where child abuse and neglect are a factor. CASAs work closely with the Berkshire Juvenile Court, the Department of Social Services, schools, agencies, parents, foster parents, therapists, the medical community, clergy and attorneys to ensure that children involved in the court system have: their interests well represented; access to needed services in their communities; and a safe, permanent, nurturing home.
Description
Berkshire CASA is a program of Berkshire County Kids Place, a Children's Advocacy Center that provides a range of services to victims of child abuse and their non-offending family members.
