Mission Statement

The mission of the Northwest refugee and Immigrant Services is to empower refugees and immigrants to achieve a new meaningful life in communities in which they settle, while preserving their cultures and to assist refugees in become self-sufficient by developing and delivering services that meet their changing needs and to serve as an advocate for refugees within the community by providing support services, traditional counseling and interpreting services for Communication bridging gap between refugees and other provides and also entire social services as needed.

Description

Northwest Refugee and Immigrant Services strives to create an environment conducive to refugees acquiring the skills necessary to adapt to life in State of Washington. We provide assistance and access to services that promote independence, education and employment. This includes language instruction, social, legal and housing services. We provide cultural orientation for refugees, educating them about U.S. laws and customs, and provide parental assistance with early child education techniques to better prepare their children for their public school years. We assist young people in the prevention of alcohol and drug abuse, sexually transmitted diseases and gang activity.
