Mission Statement

NYC Student Initiative for AIDS,Inc. is an entirely student-run non-profit organization. Our purpose is to raise both awareness and funds to fight the global HIV/AIDS epidemic. We actively seek to involve student communities in this fight through artistic and educational means. We support initiatives that treat, educate and care for people affected by HIV/AIDS in developing nations.

Description

NYC Student Initiative for AIDS,Inc was founded in Manhattan by NYU students in June 2002 in order to raise funds for AIDS relief in Sub-Saharan Africa. The non-profit student-run 501 (c) 3 organization operates a discount card program sponsored by local merchants throughout Manhattan and hosts benefit concerts and spoken word showcases for AIDS fundraising.
