Statewide Poverty Action Network is a state level grassroots, legislative advocacy organization working to build political power in low-income communities and communities of color. We work to change state policy by lobbying lawmakers and organizing community members to take action during the public policy process. Poverty Action works to ensure everyone in Washington State is able to meet their basic needs and have the opportunity to prosper. We unite thousands of people across the state to take action for change through building alliances, organizing communities and holding government accountable. Our goal is to build a movement of people who are directly impacted by issues that are advocating for systemic change. Our strategies are deeply rooted in the community's needs and are led by people in the community
