Project Literacy of Greater Bergen County

Mission Statement

Bergen County PLUS is a coordinated effort to increase the level of public consciousness on the issues of adult literacy. This group consists of participants from corporations, literacy providers, small businesses, social service agencies, community groups, and the media. This combination of volunteers enables PLUS to: Maintain a clearinghouse on literacy. Serve as a community catalyst for new literacy initiatives. Serve as a resource to the corporate community on issues of literacy. Develop and maintain community linkages. Coordinate the design and implementation of recruitment and referral. Recognize literacy efforts within the Bergen County area.
