The goal of First Steps is to reduce the stresses of teen parenting by providing emotional support, parenting education and referrals to resources in the community.

Description

The First Steps volunteer offers personal support, friendship and the opportunity to share experiences, all the while reinforcing the skills and information needed to develop quality parenting. First steps helps new younger parents explore their feelings and concerns about their baby and their parenting role.
