Our mission is to create pathways to success through direct delivery of high quality programs for individuals and families in need in the Richmond area and to be an intermediary organization engaging partners in a coordinated effort to help our clients get the information, referrals and resources they need to move toward self-sufficiency.

Serving inner-city neighborhoods in the heart of Richmond, Virginia, William Byrd Community House provides a full range of prevention-oriented community-based programs to empower the individual, strengthen the family and enhance city neighborhoods. William Byrd is committed to ensuring that: Individuals and families can access services for their most pressing needs and achieve their highest level of self-sufficiency. Community groups have the capacity to develop services and influence opportunities for viable housing, health care, employment, and education
