Mission Statement

The mission of Faith In Action Evanston is to recruit, train, place, and support interfaith volunteers to provide supportive services to homebound Evanston residents - particularly the frail and elderly, or anyone who is affected by long-term health problems, regardless of age or economic status.

Description

Faith in Action Evanston is an extraordinary program which offers much needed support to at-risk neighbors in the Greater Evanston area. Trained volunteers help elderly, disabled, frail, and chronically ill neighbors remain independent and in their own homes by providing help with activities such as shopping, medical appointments, companionship, and household chores.
