Mission Statement

Womanline is a non-profit organization, founded in 1971. Our mission is to provide high quality, affordable counseling services to women, especially to those who have been sexually abused, and to prevent abuse of children and women through educational programs.

Description

Our particular expertise is the treatment of women who have been sexually abused. Most women come to us seeking help with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, difficulties in relationships, and other emotional and social problems. The issue of sexual abuse occurring in childhood typically surfaces sometime after treatment has begun. Clients are usually seen once a week. Treatment ranges from a few sessions up to twenty or more.
