AARP Tax-Aide - Massachusetts

Description

AARP Tax-Aide is a nationwide, volunteer run program that is administered by the AARP Foundation in cooperation with the IRS. Volunteer counselors provide tax prepartion and counseling at AARP Tax-Aide sites that are located in their communities at senior centers, libraries, and other public sites. Free training and training materials for preparing federal and state tax returns are provided to all counselors. Volunteer leaders share in setting Tax-Aide Program policies while assuming most management responsibilities. Volunteer specialists provide the administrative, public relations, training, and computer/software/electronic filing support.
