Mission Statement

Founded in 1988 for and by people living with HIV/AIDS, the AIDS Alliance serves the needs of people living with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). The Alliance attends to the needs of two distinct populations: people living with HIV/AIDS and their families as well as members of the LGBT community. In both of these populations special attention is paid to substance abuse issues. Services are provided within the harm reduction/recovery readines model in a confidential, compassionate, and safe environment.

Description

Founded in 1988, the AIDS Alliance operates as a drop-in center where people living with HIV/AIDS can access a food pantry twice each month, eat a hot lunch, converse with friends in a mutually supportive environment, and join a support group.
