Mission Statement
The Guantanamobile Project is a multi-city, multi-media effort to get people talking the legal, political and territorial issues involved with the detention of suspects in the "war on terror." We're called Guantana*mobile* for two reasons: first, we want to emphasize the way in which has happened in Guantanamo can be seen as a prototype for what is happening elsewhere; second, we are literally a mobile project, as we'll be traveling around the country in a media-equipped van documenting what ordinary people think about Guantanamo and related issues.
Description
The project has three components. 1.) a website which serves as an information and networking resource 2.)a mobile van, a "Guantanamobile," that will tour the country in late July and early August and visit college campuses in the fall 3.) a documentary-in-process which will feature both expert interviews on Guantanamo and public reactions to these interviews.
