SCORPIUS MISSION Scorpius is committed to presenting professional dance performances and in so doing, raising the awareness and appreciation of dance in their home state. Scorpius presents high quality dance to touch all ages with it's unique blend of movement and theatricality.

Description

WHO IS SCORPIUS SCORPIUS DANCE THEATRE Founded in the summer of 1999, Scorpius Dance Theatre creates all the elements and images of dance. Creator and choreographer Lisa Starry combines motifs of humor, drama, and organic movement to provide the public with work that is unique in craft and production. Scorpius has performed many traditional venues, Scottsdale Center for the Arts, Orpheum Theater and The Herberger. They have also Performed in many non-traditional venues such as The Ice House, Phoenix Art Museum, Scottsdale Museum for Contemporary Art, Choreography Under the Stars Palm Desert Modern Dance Competition, ARTFIT and Patriots Square. Scorpius Dance Theatre is currently on the Artist Roster for the Arizona Arts Commission. http://www.arizonaarts.org/roster/indexa.htm
