Mission Statement

As sole operator of Project: Care About The Strays, I strive to end the plight of many homeless cats and kittens with my rescue service and home shelter at Grand Rapids, Ohio. My mission includes helping people with stray cats and unwanted kittens in various communities across northwest Ohio and, occasionally, lower Michigan. I adhere to a no-kill policy, except in rare cases of incurable contagious diseases. Education on proper cat care for the public is of significant importance. I strongly encourage people to "Neuter and spay; never let them stray!"

Description

Before making a cat or kitten comfortable in my home based kitty kennel. I take them to a veterinarian to be tested for disease, examined and vaccinated. They are also wormed and bathed. Each kitty is named and receives the highest quality care in a clean, non-smoking environment. They are fed Science Diet and Iams food. Their spacious cages and litter boxes are kept impeccably clean. The animals also daily receive one-on-one affection and playtime. Careful screening is done when adoptions take place.
