To promote mental health and achieve victory over mental illness. Our vision is of a just, humane and healthy society in which all people are accorded respect, dignity, and the opportunity to achieve their full potential free from stigma and prejudice.

Description

We offer education, prevention, advocacy and support on mental health, mental illnesses, assault prevention, and parenting. Our programs include free support groups and workshops; an after-school program for at-risk teens; a one-on-one friendship program for people who are recovering from a mental illness; Parent Support; depression and mental health screening; and school-based prevention programs, among others.

This is a great organization helping people with mental health and poverty issues. They are one of the best run organization in the county. They can always use volunteers and the staff gives freely of their time working with a limited budget.
