FCS provides financial assistance to student-parents who are inelgibile for federally subisidized childcare. Most often, women in particular, defer their education or drop-out of school because they cannot afford to pay college tuition, childcare and household expenses. FCS programs play a vital role in helping low-income parents to stay in college. We believe that women who continue their education and earn a college degree are better able to advance in the workplace, earn higher salaries, and become financiall self-sufficient. In addition to benefitin the parent, our programs promote school readiness for the children by providing a quality early childcare learning environment.
