Description

Fresno Covenant Foundation (FCF) is a child literacy organization that works with children and parents of children who are 2-5 grade levels behind in reading.

Volunteer Committment:

Time Commitment: 1 hour, twice a week for three months, between the hours of 2:00-5:00 PM.

Requirements of the volunteer:

1. Be fingerprinted for a background check prior to start date (we provide all needed forms, no cost to the volunteer)

2. Attend a volunteer training and orientation at Fresno Covenant Foundation

Volunteer Role: (no experience needed): Each volunteer will tutor 1 child to tutor in reading. Tutoring sessions last 1 hour and activities include reading with the child, playing literacy games and vocabulary and comprehension building activities. No experience is needed.
