Mission Statement

CRESP's mission is to contribute to the development of African communities. Specifically, CRESP's objectives are: 1) To promote community and local executive participation in the development process, using new communication and information technologies (NTIC); 2) To initiate and to develop community projects for sustainable development; 3) To develop a laboratory of research-action for sustainable development; 4) To promote and to develop exchanges between communities in the North and the South.

Description

CRESP (Centre de Ressources pour l'Emergence Sociale Participative) is an NGO based in Yoff, Senegal. CRESP's EcoYoff Living and Learning (L&L) Center offers cross-cultrual internships and volunteer opportunities dedicated to building sustainable communities by improving local green technologies and integrating advanced information systems with traditional culture and wisdom. Since 1996 over 100 international interns, volunteers, researchers, students and many more Senegalese participants have contributed to EcoYoff projects.
