Columbia World Affairs Council

Mission Statement

The Columbia World Affairs Council has a three-fold mission: --Expand and deepen awareness of international activities in the Midlands region; --Promote activities to enhance South Carolina's image as a world-class state; and --Serve as a catalyst for building relationships between South Carolina and the rest of the world. The World Affairs Council in Columbia, South Carolina is affiliated with the Washington, D.C. - based World Affairs Councils of America--a fast growing network of more than 80 World Affairs Councils throughout the United States. The World Affairs Council in Columbia is also a member of the South Carolina Association of Nonprofit Organizations--a network of nonprofit organizations throughout the state.
