Our programs will be focused on providing seniors who need assistance with 2 or more activities of daily living (ADLà ¢à  à  s) but who do not need nursing care, with exciting entertainment, information, and leisure recreation activities of their choosing. Our programming follows the respite care model. As such activities have been designed using the socialization model, not the medical model of care. Program participants will enjoy two delicious and nutritious congregate meals a day consisting of breakfast and lunch, and will be offered two snacks in the late morning and late afternoon. Extensive meal items will be offered so as to satisfy different tastes and nutritional needs. Additionally, our center is making arrangements to offer daily physical therapy and exercise sessions of various varieties so that participants can select the program that suits them best. We are also arranging for art, music, and massage therapy programs to name a few. The center also features an on site full-service beauty salon, with a licensed cosmetologist on staff. To assist with the emotional needs of our program participants and caregivers, we have arranged for on-site counseling services and after-hours support-groups. The center will focus on community education about elder care issues and issues important to seniors and caregivers and is proud to offer an extensive on site lending library with hundreds of resources. Also, we are committed to partnering with area agencies, advocates, schools and organizations dedicated to the wellbeing and wellness of our community seniors and caregivers in order to provide excellent service. The main goal of the center is to provide adult day care and respite services as described and defined by the Older Americans Act.
