Mission Statement
The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality. The March of Dimes carries out this mission through programs of research, community services, education and advocacy.
The March of Dimes was founded in 1938 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to save America's young from the terrifying disease called polio.
Description
The March of Diems plays a major role in improving the health of each baby born today. We solved many of the problems that threatened the lives and health of babies in the past. Today, we continue to work hard to successfully reduce premature births, birth defects and infant mortality.
Volunteers and the generous support of individuals, corporations and organizations make the mission possible in Indiana. Every day, the March of Dimes is in your community.....and making a difference.
Can you imagine the day when every baby is born healthy? We can.
