ALIVE Center

Description

The overall purpose of the Center is to provide access to human service information and to increase the placement and effective use of volunteers in the community. Staff at the ALIVE Center work closely with other professionals in the area to: Maintain a database of human service organizations in Bowling Green/Warren County with a listing of the services available and up-to- date contact information; Provide a web site (www.alivebg.org) to highlight relevant local resource information, such as changes in programs or personnel, specific needs or requests for assistance, and announcements of community events; Connect families with children to services designed to meet their individual needs; Match volunteers (youth and adults) with opportunities to serve programs and assist with projects in the community; and Offer human service organizations the opportunity to reserve meeting space, borrow tables, chairs and garden equipment free of charge.
