Mission Statement

The Boys and Girls Clubs at Children's National Medical Center (CNMC)develop empowerment and advocacy skills through education about adolescent health issues, career exploration, and community service projects. Additional empowerment comes from an integration of reproductive health with decision-making skills in order to delay the onset of sexual activity.

Description

The Boys and Girls Clubs is for youth age 11-14. The Clubs meet weekly (4:30-6:00pm) from September-April at CNMC clinics in the District. Through the program, youth learn about adolescent health issues, life skills, and engage in a year-long community service project.
