Description
San Miguel is an independent, non-profit corporation, sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, that operates two private, Catholic, co-educational, gratuitous middle schools serving low-income, inner-city children in Chicago, Illinois. The original school, founded in 1995, operates in the Back of the Yards neighborhood of Chicago and serves primarily Hispanic children and their families, while the second school, which opened September 2002 in the Austin neighborhood on the west side of Chicago, serves primarily African-American children and their families.
