Mission Statement

CONTACT of Knoxville, Inc. is 24-hour crisis/suicide helpline providing support, resources and intervention when needed to all persons in the nine county Greater Knoxville area, no matter their age or circumstances. The phones are staffed by volunteers trained to handle crisis situations as they arise while being non-judgmental and compassionate. CONTACT is available 365 days a year.

Description

1. Crisis/Suicide Intervention Service 2. Reassurance Call Program which checks on the elderly and/or homebound persons with a free daily call. 3. Effective Listening Skills training for volunteers and the community. 4. ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training).
