Mission Statement

To provide a special form of care for patients' and their families during the final stages of life. VITAS provides a mulitdisciplinary team in order to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and caregivers.

Description

Without the help of volunteers, our hospice would not be able to provide the type of quality service that is needed. Volunteers are integrated into the interdisciplinary team of nurses, doctors, home health aides, social workers and chaplains. They are knowledgeable about patient and family needs, and are included in the plan of care.
