Mission Statement
The Brazos Valley Area Agency on Aging is a part of a network of 28 Area Agencies on Aging across the state of Texas working with the Texas Department on Aging. The Agency serves 7 counties in the area and is a visible leader and advocate in facilitating those supportive services and opportunities that enable all older citizens to be able to live dignified, independent and productive lives. Description
The Texas Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program advocates for the rights of residents of Nursing Homes and Assisted Living facilities, and their families, so that the residents receive the highest quality of care and achieve a high quality of life. The Office of Long Term Care Ombudsman administers the Ombudsman Program through the development and oversight of the 28 Area Agency on Aging Ombudsman Programs located throughout Texas.
