Mission Statement

The Mid-South Food Bank's mission is to fight hunger through the efficient collection and distribution of wholesome food, education and advocacy.

Description

Founded as a program of MIFA (Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association) in 1981, The Food Bank became independent in 1988. The Mid-South Food Bank's many programs include Kids Cafe, Food for Kids Backpack Program, Hunger's Hope, and TEFAP distribution. The Food Bank is a certified affiliate of Feeding America- The Nation's Food Bank Network and is a member of the Safety Net Collaborative. The Food Bank is an independent, nondenominational 501 (c)(3) Tennessee Corporation.
