The Texas Department on Aging Ombudsman Program, through its 28 local Ombudsman entities,advocates the quality of life and quality of care for residents in long-term care facilities. This is accomplished through the identification, investigation,and resolution of complaints by or on behalf of facility residents. Additionally, local entities as well as the office of the State L.T.Care Ombudsman, seek to positively impact procedures and policy that affect residents in L.T. Care facilities.
Learn rules,regulations,& issues pertraining to the Ombudsman Program.Develop skills in understanding of resident rights and regulatory issues.Protect the health,safety, welfare and rights of licensed nursing facilities and personcal care home residents;support the development of resident and family councils.
