Description

Gallery season is year-round with occasional closings for change of exhibits. Open daily except Tuesday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. A non-collecting museum, BMAC produces about 15 changing exhibitions of cutting edge contemporary art per year in six galleries. The Activity Gallery always provides hands-on activities and books for families. Established in 1972, BMAC is housed in Union Station, an historic landmark in downtown Brattleboro, Vermont. BMAC sponsors artist lectures, workshops, bus trips, musical performances, school visit programs, and hosts many other special events. The Museum Gift Shop features an assortment of cards, games, books, prints, educational items, and gifts, including work of many local artists. Group tours of the exhibits, led by docents, may be arranged by appointment. BMAC's facilities are available to rent for meetings and events.
