Mission Statement

To protect the rights and dignity of all residents in long-term care facilities, to promote the well-being and highest quality of life for all residents; to listen to, mediate and investigate complaints and grievances on behalf of residents; to investigate reported elder abuse and additional resident's rights abuses in long-term care facilities; to lend assistance and support to residents, staff, caregivers and their families

Description

The WISE Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is an advocacy group designed to help protect and ensure the rights of seniors housed in skilled nursing and residential care facilities for the elderly. Ombudsmen help inform and educate residents and thier families about thier rights in these facilities, as well as help resolve complaints and address issues residents may face during thier stay.
