Alpena Volunteer Center

Description

Since 1977, the Alpena Volunteer Center of Alpena Community College has been matching people who are willing to volunteer time and talent with agencies and organizations who need their services. Through its 27 years of operation, the Volunteer Center has come to mean much more to our community. Operating within the Center for Economic and Human Resource Development at Alpena Community College, the Volunteer Center is a clearinghouse of reliable information on community services; facilitates the Association of Lifelong Learners; directs the Youth Volunteer Corps; organizes the Christmas Wish List, a holiday tradition in Alpena; and coordinates an annual College Day for Women. Through its people helping people activities, the Volunteer Center makes our community a better place in which to live.
