Mission Statement
Established in 1994, the Cambridge Office for Tourism is a non-profit agency which coordinates all destination marketing and visitor services for the City of Cambridge. The office is responsible for fulfillment of visitor requests, development of new visitor information materials, operation of a Visitor Information Booth in the heart of Harvard Square, as well as all aspects of marketing and public relations for Cambridge.
Description
The office is managed by a 13-member Board of Directors, is staffed by two full-time employees, and works closely with the Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau which also represents this destination as one of the state's 13 regional tourist councils. Since 1995, the Cambridge Office for Tourism has managed the day-to-day operations of the Visitor Information Booth located in the heart of Harvard Square, adjacent to the MBTA Station.
