Description
For 30 years KVC (formerly Kaw Valley Center) has endeavored to make a difference in the lives of children. A private, nonprofit organization, KVC seeks to enrich and enhance the lives of children and their families by providing medical and behavioral healthcare, social services and education. With offices serving thirty-three counties in Eastern Kansas, KVC offers an extensive range of networked services for abused and neglected children from birth to the age of twenty-one. Professional treatment teams tailor services to the specific needs of children and their families who focus on a "whole child - whole family" treatment philosophy at every program service level - from home-based programs in the community to intensive psychiatric care on the KVC campus. In Wyandotte County, KVC provides the case management and placement for all children taken into state custody due to abuse and neglect.
