Description

Investigates complaints by or on behalf of long-term care residents. Advises residents of their rights and responsibilities. Works with staff and family to resolve issues and concerns. Provides information on facilities to potential residents and family members. Provides information on Medicare and Medicaid benefits to present and potential residents and family members. Recruits and trains volunteer ombudsmen to work with residents of long term care facilities and to advocate for quality care in a healthy environment.
