Mission Statement

The Watershed Project's mission is to promote understanding and appreciation of the natural resources of the San Francisco Bay Area, increase awareness of the human impacts upon these resources, and inspire community involvement and action that will protect and restore the Estuary and the watersheds that surround it.

Description

The Watershed Project is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization which develops and implements education and community stewardship programs designed to protect and enhance watershed resources within the San Francisco Bay Area. This is accomplished by (1) developing and delivering a variety of teacher and public workshops throughout the nine Bay Area counties, and (2) fostering the development of strong community groups that advocate for, and take direct action in, the stewardship of local natural resources.
