Mission Statement

The Junior League of San Diego, Inc. is part of international organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. The Junior League reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in, and commitment to, voluntarism.

Description

The Junior League's 1,200 (400 active) members research and develop community programs in San Diego through service projects, collaborations, training, and advocacy. Each year our members contribute over 60,000 volunteer hours and raise more than $150,000 to support the organization, our outreach programs and community assistance grants. For 75 years, the Junior League of San Diego has been recognized as a powerful force for positive change and an organization committed to assisting with the needs of the San Diego community. The Junior League currently dedicates its membership and financial resources to programs that foster education through schools, families, and community.
