The National Kidney Foundation of Upstate New York's mission is to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and to increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.

Our vision is to enhance the lives of everyone with, at risk of, or affected by kidney disease.

Description

The National Kidney Foundation, Inc. is America's leading voluntary health organization dedicated to the awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease for hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals, millions of patients and their families, and tens of millions of people at risk.

Our goals include:

  • Reducing the number of American's newly diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and renal failure by providing public education
  • Shaping Health Policy
  • Fund Raising to help support our local programs

NKF Serving Upstate & Western New York supports kidney disease and transplant patients through research, patient support groups, public and professional educational programs. More than 10,000 area residents are on dialysis and thousands wait for kidney transplants.
